Justin Whipple

Drilling Manager

Justin joined Blackjack in 2026 and serves as Drilling Manager. Prior to joining Blackjack, Justin served as Senior Drilling Engineer at Flywheel Energy where he focused on asset development drilling across the Anadarko Basin, Fayetteville Shale, and Piceance Basin.

Prior to Flywheel, Justin worked at 89 Energy where he was responsible for asset development drilling on 89’s operated SCOOP position. Justin started his career at National Oilwell Varco before moving into senior drilling positions at Continental Resources and EOG Resources. Justin received a B.S. in Engineering Physics from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
